In this tiresome run of life among glittering lights of
metro cities, human being is always surrounded by their loved ones- friends,
family, colleagues and many others. They do everything to keep them happy but
what about their own needs, love, affection and fun for their own life. All
lost! In limelight of showing love to others.
It is said that one who does not have peace and happiness
within himself, cannot bring peace and happiness to others also. So what to do
to bring happiness at your door? The answer is here; spend some time with yourself,
alone, far away from hustle and bustle of relationships, hectic office schedule
and the polluted nature. Fun alone!
Is not the new concept, the only need is to revive it.
The best thing about "me time" is you're not going
to have any interruptions. So, catch up on that English paper, study for that
history test next week, clean your room, and work on that science project. Go
outside and enjoy nature. A solo hike allows you to observe nature without
distractions of friends. You'll be surprised how fun and relaxing watching
the clouds go by can be, how freaky a deep sea diving could be, and how
childish it could be when you walk on somebody else’s footprints on sea beach,
trying not to distort its sequence.
Abiral kumar, 20, a budding writer and a student at Delhi
University says, “I never understood the concept of having fun alone but after
coming here in Delhi, I observed that it’s real fun to enjoy alone. You get a
lot of time to pamper yourself, explore yourself and bring out the real child
out of you.” Abiral loves to play guitar when he is alone and experiment with
different funny tunes that makes his friends laugh whenever they listen him
secretly. “I love playing guitar but not in front of everyone, its real fun
when I play with tunes.” He added later.
Today, out of every 10 people 5 wants peace of mind and
spend some time doing crazy things like reading all the old comics at once,
experiments in weird style of cooking no matter it would be digestible or not,
painting the house walls on your own, or just a spontaneous trip at late night
to a beautiful place, far away from home etc. “Today human being has become so
tangled within threads of maintaining relationships that they have lost
connection with their own soul. I would suggest if one wants to live his life
to the fullest then he should do every damn thing that he has planned in his
teenage and childhood,” said Anurag Somvanshi, a counsellor in North Delhi.
There are more fun to catch than just being lonely and sit
down thinking you are alone in this world. Hold your breath, shout a loud and
call the notorious child inside you. The "me time" is mainly the time
you can create, mediate, research, maintain, evaluate and refurbish your life
for a more meaningful result. An idle mind they said is the devil's workshop
but it could be a creative one as well.
Nivedita Singh, a socialist and a Graduate from University,
lost her all interests and avoided them to concentrate on studies. She have
mind full of creative ideas for everything her friend say but we never saw her
doing so openly. She did every creative work for university but at the time of
credits she was always missing. When asked to Nivedita about her secret
creativity contribution she said, “I love doing it all but alone because
interruptions always distract me. People think I am proud. By doing so I feel
connected to people as well as my soul. It’s the definition of having fun for
me.” There are many more like Nivedita who love to have fun alone, which not
only give them peace but a refreshment from all social hustle and bustle.
Today’s generation defines fun as partying in discos,
drinking, hanging out with friends and lots more but when asked they always
say, this was missing we will do it next time, they spoiled the whole plan etc
etc. So instead of blaming your friends for spoiling your happiness it’s the
time to enjoy all alone. Have a Break! Take your old lovely things, sit down at
lonely place to laugh and giggle for yourself, and experience the change.
